Columbus, Ohio – Welspun, a leading global manufacturer and distributor of home textiles, is bringing additional manufacturing capacity to the U.S. The company has an existing distribution center in Grove City that will be retrofitted to add manufacturing operations. This $12.5 million investment will enhance Welspun’s presence in the North American market, producing a range of home textiles including towels, rugs, and bedding, and creating 70 new jobs in the region.

“This strategic expansion reflects our commitment to supporting our retail and hospitality partners while creating significant job opportunities in the community,” said Keyur Parekh, Welspun CEO Global Business & Director. “We look forward to enhancing our presence in the U.S. market and providing our customers with innovative and quality products.”

“Our goal is to provide customers with a diverse range of choices to suit their preferences and style, enhancing their ‘sleep experience’ with innovative and quality products,” said Parekh. This expansion is part of Welspun’s broader strategy to increase its manufacturing footprint in North America.

“Grove City is excited about Welspun’s decision to expand its operations with a leading-edge manufacturing facility right here in our community,” said Grove City Mayor Richard L. “Ike” Stage. “Welspun’s investment is a testament to the skilled workforce and supportive business environment we offer. This new facility will bring new jobs and also reinforce Grove City’s position as a prime location for manufacturing excellence.”

Welspun’s decision to expand into the U.S. pillow manufacturing sector is driven by strategic dialogues with major North American stakeholders, aiming to tap into onshore opportunities and meet evolving market demands.

“Welspun’s choice to expand in Grove City highlights what’s working right here in Ohio, where our state continues to provide a competitive edge for global manufacturers,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “This investment showcases Ohio’s strong workforce, strategic location, and supportive business climate that continues to attract and retain world-class companies.”

Welspun’s new facility will support its diverse product portfolio, including sleep pillows, pillow covers, mattress pads, comforters, and blankets, serving retail, omni, institutional, hospitality, and e-commerce channels.  Welspun’s basic bedding brands include Licensed Brands ranging from Martha Stewart, Charisma and Own Brands Kindlier to WelHome with more expected in the future.
