July 27, 2015

Columbus, OH – Saama Technologies, Inc., a leading big data solutions and services company headquartered in Silicon Valley, will significantly expand its Columbus Region presence with the addition of hundreds of new jobs over the next three years.

“The Columbus Region’s growing reputation as an analytics hub, evidenced by a number of corporate initiatives, and its easy access to multiple East Coast cities, were key factors in our expansion location decision,” said Suresh Katta, CEO, Saama.

Hiring will begin immediately for the new jobs, which will all be data analytics positions.

“With a significant number of positions to fill, we knew we needed to expand in a location that provides an abundance of high-quality data analytics talent,” said Ken Coleman, board chairman, Saama, and advisory board member for The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. “The concentration of higher education institutions and strong corporate partners makes the Columbus Region the right setting.”

“We’re proud that Saama has chosen the Columbus Region to grow high-quality technology jobs,” said Kenny McDonald, chief economic officer, Columbus 2020. “Our area continues to grow as a critical hub of data analytics innovators.”

Said Ted Griffith, managing director, information technology sectors, JobsOhio, “This significant jobs commitment by a well known, Silicon Valley-based company is a testament to what Ohio and the Columbus Region can offer the data analytics industry. We welcome Saama’s expanded presence and growth in Ohio.”
