Columbus, Ohio – Ohashi Technica U.S.A. Manufacturing Inc., a supplier of precision automotive components, will invest over $11 million to expand and renovate its existing facility in Sunbury. The project includes a 20,000-square-foot expansion that will increase production capacity and create 20 new jobs.
“We’re excited to expand our operations here in Sunbury and continuing to build on the strong foundation we’ve established,” said Roy Borrows, Vice President at Ohashi Technica. “This investment supports growing customer demand and strengthens our ability to deliver the precision, quality, and performance our partners expect. The support of the city of Sunbury, Delaware County, and the One Columbus and JobsOhio teams has played a crucial role in our decision to expand.”
Ohashi Technica supplies fastening systems and drivetrain components for global automakers. The Sunbury location plays a critical role in meeting North American production needs, with parts engineered to meet strict standards for reliability and high-performance.
“Ohashi has been a valued part of Sunbury’s business community for decades, consistently expanding their operations and deepening their roots in our city,” said Sunbury Mayor Joe St. John. “Their employees are integral to the fabric of our community, and their decision to grow in—and with—Sunbury reflects the strength of our partnership and their confidence in the future of our city. We are proud to be part of Ohashi’s continued success story.”
“Ohashi Technica is an example of a global auto supply company choosing Ohio to expand in the North American market, then advancing innovation, creating jobs and staying committed to our state,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “The company’s consistent growth in the Columbus Region speaks to the confidence Ohashi Technica has in Ohio’s automotive talent and supply chain advantages.”
Construction for the expansion is underway and expected to be complete by the end of 2025.
