Columbus, Ohio – Midwest Molding, Inc., an ISO 9001 certified plastic injection molding company, has announced plans to expand its presence in the Columbus Region, creating 55 new jobs. Hiring for machine operators is underway.
Midwest Molding, Inc., which currently employs 99 full-time staff in the Columbus Region, is moving all operations to its new 130,000-square-foot facility at 8400 Industrial Parkway in Jerome Township, Union County, which will help the company accommodate more production capacity and capabilities to meet anticipated growth over the next 5-10 years. In addition to the new facility, Midwest Molding, Inc. is investing $6 million in machinery and equipment.
“Over the past several months, we have continued to pursue new opportunities to increase our market share in the automotive and package industry and ‘Made in the USA’ products for retail,” said Midwest Molding, Inc. President Bill Razor. “Our presence in the Columbus Region has played a key role in our company’s growth, and this expansion will position us for continued success.”

Manufacturing operations in the Columbus Region are deep and diverse, spanning industries from automotive and electronics to machinery, materials, aerospace and consumer goods. The Region is home to over 1,700 manufacturing establishments with nearly 90,000 employees, resulting in more than $15 million in annual economic output. Plain City is in Union County, which is home to notable companies such as Honda, Honda R&D, Nestle and Scotts Miracle-Gro. Businesses in the Columbus Region have access to a steady pipeline of young talent, which includes numerous career and technical training centers that partner with industry to provide the training and skills needed for the modern manufacturer.
