Columbus, OH – Goken America, LLC, a North American based company that specializes in design engineering technologies, today announced it will invest more than $1.39 million to expand its presence in Dublin, Ohio, moving from its existing location to a larger site at 5100 Parkcenter Avenue. The company will also add 15 new jobs to its roster over the next three years. The investment is contingent upon City of Dublin approvals, expected in August.
“The Columbus Region’s workforce quality and the competitive environment were key factors in our decision to expand our presence in Dublin,” said Doug Smith, CEO, Goken America.
Goken America’s current operation is located at 5920 Wilcox Place in Dublin. The new facility on Parkcenter Avenue, which the company has purchased, provides an additional 15,000 square feet of space to accommodate current and future growth.
The company’s investment also includes the creation of 15 new jobs, with positions in design, production engineering and computer modeling. Hiring is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
“It is encouraging to see Goken America retain and expand its presence in Dublin with a long-term investment in a new, larger facility,” said Colleen Gilger, economic development director, City of Dublin. “We welcome the high-quality jobs Goken America is bringing to the Region, and look forward to facilitating the company’s future growth.”
