Columbus, OH – Daifuku America Corporation, which designs and manufactures conveyor systems for industries including automotive and aviation, today announced that it will expand its Columbus Region facility, investing $3 million related to improving and expanding its facility. The company will also add 80 new jobs, including engineering and production personnel.
“We are excited about the next step in Daifuku’s growth, which includes increasing the company’s Columbus Region workforce,” said Tim Hund, vice president, Daifuku America Corporation. “The collaborative efforts between the City of Columbus, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Columbus 2020 definitely helped this project go from concept to reality.”
Daifuku America Corporation’s investment includes an 18,200-square-foot renovation to its existing building, located at 6700 Tussing Road in Columbus. Additionally, as part of the planned 8,000-square- foot expansion, the company will work with ODOT and the City of Columbus to widen public roads and add storm water infrastructure, street lighting and traffic signs to accommodate increased traffic.
