CoverMyMeds Expanding Into Larger Columbus Region Facility, Growing Niche Workforce

September 29, 2014

Columbus, OH – CoverMyMeds, the leader in Prior Authorization (PA) and one of the fastest growing healthcare technology companies in the nation, today announced it will invest more than $3 million to outfit new, larger office space, and to develop a specialized internal training program. The company also plans to add more than 100 new jobs in the next three years.

“Our software network that streamlines a vital process for physicians, pharmacies and health plans has led to rapid growth at CoverMyMeds, prompting the need for more space for specialized professionals,” said Alan Scantland, CEO, CoverMyMeds. “The Columbus Region provides an ideal spot for growth, and we’re proud to add to the renaissance of the city’s downtown area with this investment.”

CoverMyMeds will move from its existing space in the Arena District to substantially larger quarters in Downtown’s Scioto Mile development. The $1.2 million investment will go toward leasehold improvements and equipment to create a vibrant environment to help maintain its Top Workplace status in Columbus.

The company will invest an additional $2 million to create an internal training program to recruit and develop software engineers. The program will help address CoverMyMeds’ rapid growth while enhancing the high-tech skills of central Ohioans.

“This significant investment from a growing player in the healthcare technology space speaks volumes about what Columbus has to offer, in terms of a highly skilled workforce,” said Mayor Michael B. Coleman. “We are proud CoverMyMeds is growing its presence in Columbus, and glad the company is contributing to downtown revitalization.”
