Columbus Region 2013 Q4 Economic Update Shows Addition of 12,300 Jobs in 2013

Columbus, OH – The Columbus MSA added 12,300 jobs last year and continues to rank very well against comparable U.S. metros, according to Columbus 2020, the economic development organization in the Columbus Region. The final quarterly economic update for the 2013 calendar year covers regional economic data and development activities in the fourth quarter and throughout the year. The full report is available.

The Q4 report documents an annual employment increase of 1.3 percent despite the loss of 4,800 jobs in Q4. The update also shows a declining unemployment rate for the Region, increasing housing prices and an improving per capita personal income.
