Columbus, OH – Columbus 2020, the economic development organization for the 11-county Columbus Region, was recognized at the Ohio Economic Development Association’s (OEDA) Annual Summit with the Excellence in Economic Development Marketing Award for the Columbus Region’s One of US marketing campaign. Columbus 2020 won in the large community category.
OEDA’s annual excellence awards program recognizes great achievements by individuals and organizations in economic and workforce development in Ohio.
Columbus 2020’s One of US campaign is a collaborative marketing effort that showcases the world-class organizations and top-level resources that call the Columbus Region home, and highlights how these organizations collaborate to ensure the Columbus Region’s growth and prosperity.
A partnership including AEP Ohio, Battelle, Chase, Express, Huntington Bank, M/I Homes, Nationwide, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Safelite AutoGlass helped launch the campaign in John Glenn Columbus International Airport earlier this year. One of US is now integrated throughout Columbus 2020’s overall marketing plan, including advertising placements, collateral and digital marketing programs.
The campaign has grown in popularity since its launch, with a growing list of organizations sharing their stories and pride for the Columbus Region at columbusregion.com/oneofus.

In September, the One of US campaign was also awarded a gold Excellence in Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). At the same time, Columbus 2020 received a silver award from IEDC for the Columbus Region Performance Dashboard.
