Columbus 2020 Announces Pablo Vegas as Chairman of the Columbus 2020 Board of Directors

Columbus, OH – Columbus 2020 announced today the appointment of Pablo Vegas as the chairman of its board of directors.

Vegas is president and chief operating officer for American Electric Power (AEP) Ohio, which serves approximately 1.5 million customers in Ohio. He is responsible for distribution operations, safety and a wide range of customer and regulatory relationships. Previously he was vice president and chief information officer for American Electric Power, responsible for development and support of AEP’s software applications and operation of AEP’s information technology infrastructure.

“Pablo Vegas is a dynamic leader who is committed to the growth of Ohio and the Columbus Region,” said Kenny McDonald, president and chief economic officer of Columbus 2020. “He has been an extremely valued member of our board, and AEP has been a tremendous partner in helping us serve our clients. Pablo’s leadership will be invaluable to maintaining our momentum and addressing the strategic challenge of growing our 11-county regional economy.”

Vegas has served as a member of the Columbus 2020 board of directors since November 2012.
