BriskHeat to Invest Nearly $1.5 Million in Consolidated Facility, Add More Than 100 New Jobs

February 23, 2015

Columbus, OH – BriskHeat Corporation, a global manufacturer of surface heaters, insulators and temperature controls, has announced it will invest nearly $1.5 million to consolidate its Columbus Region locations into one facility and add more than 100 jobs to its 266-employee workforce over the next three years.

“The semiconductor industry and growth in international sales prompted us to open a manufacturing facility in Vietnam in 2010. Now we need to significantly grow our presence in the Columbus Region to keep up with both domestic and international demand,” said Mike Thompson, senior vice president of manufacturing, BriskHeat. “We are continuing the growth pattern the company has exhibited since the early 2000s, and committed to providing a high-quality work experience for our employees.”

BriskHeat will consolidate its existing Columbus Region facilities at 1055 Gibbard Avenue and 460 E. Starr Avenue into an existing facility at 4800 Hilton Corporate Drive. The company’s investment in the 100,000-square-foot building will include the installation of new machinery and equipment, building renovations and tenant improvements.

The company’s commitment of 103 new jobs will include manufacturing and assembly positions. Hiring is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2015 and wrap up by 2018. The company will also maintain its existing 266-employee workforce, which will move to the consolidated facility.

BriskHeat, which has grown its business considerably since 2000, boasts a diverse talent pool – with employees representing 19 countries and speaking 17 different languages. Building upon its global presence, the company expects exports to be a significant driver of its growth moving forward.
