Basecraft to Invest More Than $100,000 in Columbus Region, Boost Workforce Six-Fold

July 28, 2014

Columbus, OH – Basecraft, a creative agency founded in 2013, has announced it will invest more than $100,000 for leasehold improvements to its existing downtown Columbus office and boost its full-time workforce six-fold over the next three years.

“We have experienced rapid growth in a short amount of time and need to support that progress with high-quality, creative talent – something we know is available in the Columbus Region,” said Chris Hamrick, founder and creative director, Basecraft. “Central Ohio is the perfect spot to drop our creative anchor as we build our brand.”

The company will add 30 jobs to its current five-employee roster. The positions will include design, content creation, digital marketing and business development, with hiring expected to begin in July.

“It’s encouraging to see yet another company growing in Columbus, and particularly one that has chosen the city’s vibrant downtown for its home base,” said Mayor Michael B. Coleman. “Basecraft’s expansion will help to attract even more creative talent to Central Ohio, and provide a significant number of jobs for current residents.”
