Aspen Energy Corporation to Retain Columbus Region Headquarters, Expand to Larger Facility

January 26, 2015

Columbus, OH – Aspen Energy Corporation, one of the oldest and largest energy consultation firms in the nation, has announced it will retain and expand its Columbus Region headquarters by investing $1.7 million to purchase a larger facility. In addition to retaining 40 existing jobs, the company’s investment includes the addition of 45 new jobs over the next three years.

“Because we’ve grown our business in the Columbus Region, we are well aware of the area’s access to a key workforce, its strategic location and also the low cost of doing business,” said Jonathan Peele, president, Aspen Energy Corporation. “As we eyed expansion to accommodate the company’s growth, staying local was an easy decision.”

The company will move from its current location on Dublin Road in Shawnee Hills to a larger, yet-to-be determined site in Dublin later this year. Hiring for the new jobs, which will include back-office and sales positions, will begin in mid 2015.

“Aspen Energy Corporation has proven its commitment to the Columbus Region by investing in a longterm facility solution to meet its expansion needs,” said Colleen Gilger, economic development director, City of Dublin. “We congratulate the company on its growth, and we are excited to welcome them to Dublin.”
