Global Community

Over the past decade, 92% of population growth has come from non-white groups. Thirty-seven percent is made up of immigrants from around the world. The Columbus Region is deeply proud to be diverse and global community and believe that some of the greatest strength comes from differences.

Proud of the People

The city of Columbus, which sits at the heart of the Columbus Region, has a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Municipal Equality Index, which measures whether the laws and policies in a city are inclusive to its LGTBQ+ residents. Additionally, the Columbus Region hosts one of the largest Pride festivals and parades in the nation each year.

Backed by Businesses

The Columbus Region is home to more than 300 foreign-owned businesses. And from small businesses up to the leadership of some of the largest companies, the impact of first-generation immigrants and beyond can’t be overstated. The companies in the business community are committed to upholding diversity, equity, and inclusion practices that open more doors for more people.
