School is out, the kids are home and we are headlong into summer. With three great kids, summer is enjoyable, but can seem even busier than the school year sometimes! Summer is about taking some time off, about catching a breath, and spending 90 days preparing for the busy fall season.
For our economic development team, it is a time to evaluate our progress and to plan the next six months of activity. Our goals are aggressive and our work continues every day, but it is necessary to take some time to adjust our tactics – to stop the unnecessary and unproductive and increase those actions that are paying dividends.
One Columbus Update
The One Columbus team participated in the Internet Retailers Conference in Chicago and met with market based site location specialists last week. The team is planning a visit to the 3PL Summit in Chicago next week.
Last week the State of Ohio made a step forward last week when Governor Kasich signed HB 436. Thanks to Representative Grossman for her leadership and many others who contributed this effort. This is an important step that will help prepare communities all over Ohio for business.
