Columbus, Ohio – Dupon USA, a Belgium-based company specializing in equipment and solutions for the global ice cream industry, is expanding its operations in the Columbus Region with a new manufacturing facility. The company will construct a 175,000-square-foot building in Columbus to produce baked wafers, cookies and crunch products used by ice cream manufacturers and food producers.
The $33 million investment marks an expansion of Dupon USA’s existing corporate and logistics presence in Columbus, adding manufacturing capabilities to support growing demand across North America. The project will create 60 new jobs in addition to the 28 existing positions.
Dupon USA brings decades of experience serving ice cream producers worldwide, providing equipment and production solutions for businesses ranging from small operators to large-scale manufacturers. The new Columbus facility will allow the company to diversify its product lines while strengthening its ability to serve customers in the U.S. market.

The decision to expand in Columbus reflects the Region’s strength as a hub for food production, logistics and advanced manufacturing, as well as its central location within reach of major consumer markets.

As an international company headquartered in Belgium, Dupon USA’s expansion also highlights the growing role of foreign direct investment in the Columbus Region.

The new facility, located at 1700 East 17th Avenue in Columbus, is expected to support production for the industrial ice cream market, supplying key components used in products distributed across the country.
