“Don’t settle for average. Bring your best to the moment. Then, whether it fails or succeeds, at least you know you gave all you had. We need to live the best that’s in us.”
-Angela Bassett
Last week we celebrated the economic development profession – the people, organizations and leaders that make it happen across the country and in our own backyard. Check out our social media feeds on Twitter and LinkedIn to see our recent posts recognizing all our local partners.
Occasionally, something just catches my attention and reminds me of the power of this great profession that I’m proud to have the opportunity to practice every day. This very short video is a reminder of the extraordinary, community-changing good that comes from recognizing a strength, building around it and as a result, advancing people in our communities. I hope you will take a few minutes to watch and reflect on the opportunities that are right in front of us in our neighborhoods, cities and in our country.
Let’s have a positive week and uplift those around us!
