COLUMBUS, OH – Columbus 2020, the 11-county regional economic development entity, today announced the appointment of Ellen Power to its board of directors.

Power leads Boeing’s Heath facility as center director and Heath site executive. The Heath facility is part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security and specializes in maintenance, repair and overhaul services for missile defense technologies for the U.S. Air Force and Navy.

“Ellen Power is a tremendous addition to our board and a great asset to our regional economic development strategy,” said Kenny McDonald, chief economic officer of Columbus 2020, and president, Columbus 2020 Board of Directors. “She brings a mix of experience, expertise, leadership and willing collaboration that will enhance and add to our existing activities.”

The Columbus 2020 Board is composed of private and public-sector leaders and guides the Columbus Region’s efforts to become the fastest growing economy in the country and one of the nation’s leaders in economic development.

Power is the first addition to the Columbus 2020 Board since Michael W. Louge, Mark Patton and Pablo A. Vegas became members in November of last year.
