A Good Year for the Market, a Great Year for Columbus’ Largest Public Companies

November 25, 2013

If you invested in the stock market, it’s been a good year. It would have been an even better one if you invested in the largest public companies headquartered in the Columbus Region.

The Columbus Region’s Fortune 1000 companies are up 47 percent since the start of the year, far outperforming the Dow Jones, NASDAQ and S&P 500, which are also trending upward.

There are 15 Fortune 1000 companies that call the Columbus Region home. We are fortunate that they are from diverse sectors of the economy and that many were founded right here, within the area. They are considered market leaders, they employ thousands and they are run by people who live within our community. They share our passion for the Columbus Region and we hope that Central Ohio has something to do with their success.
