Columbus, OH – Columbus 2020, the economic development organization for the 11-county Columbus Region, announced today the appointment of Sue Zazon to its board of directors.
Zazon has served as president of Huntington National Bank’s Central Ohio Region since August 2016, when Huntington acquired First Merit Bank. She leads all the revenue generating business segments in Central Ohio. Huntington is the tenth largest bank in the country. In addition, she oversees the $3 million philanthropic investment for Central Ohio, along with all community involvement and CRA priorities. Prior, Zazon was president of First Merit Central Ohio for ten years.
An active and dedicated member of the community, Zazon’s energetic leadership extends to several civic organizations. She is the treasurer and former president of the Central Ohio YMCA and serves as the president of the Young Presidents’ Organization Gold in Columbus. In addition, she previously served on the board of directors of Experience Columbus, the Columbus Children’s Theatre, CAPA,The Columbus Symphony and was the development chair of the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges.
