Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA), the state’s professional association for economic and community development practitioners, announced today the appointment of One Columbus Project Manager Logan Dawson to its Board of Directors.
In his role at One Columbus, Dawson is responsible for evaluating and managing economic development opportunities for the Columbus Region. Dawson’s primary focus is to secure new jobs and investment by demonstrating the regional value proposition and competitiveness against other competing markets. This work includes responding to proposals and inquiries from companies and advisory teams, identifying suitable real estate options, coordinating prospect visits, developing financial incentive packages, and serving as a liaison between companies and various state, local and private partners.
“Logan is an experienced project manager and skilled economic developer, so I am proud to pass the torch to Logan as he joins the OEDA board of directors,” said Kenny McDonald, president and CEO of One Columbus. “As a young professional with a bright future in this field, Logan will be an important asset to the OEDA team, and I look forward to seeing him share his talents with the state.”
Prior to joining One Columbus, Dawson served as the director of corporate expansion and attraction at Milwaukee 7 and as a business specialist at the Racine County Economic Development Corporation. He also attended college in Central Ohio, obtaining a degree in city and regional planning from The Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture.

Dawson is also actively involved in the local community, serving as a development committee member for the Family Mentor Foundation and an ambassador for the Ohio Opioid Education Alliance. He is also on the board of the Parson’s Avenue Redevelopment Corporation.
