Columbus, OH – Precision Tower Products, which fabricates and installs reinforcement pieces for the cell tower industry, will invest more than $3.3 million to construct a new facility to consolidate its corporate and manufacturing operations in the Columbus Region. The company will also add 35 new jobs over the next three years.
“We are anticipating growth due to the development of a new bolt system, prompting the need to hire a specialized workforce and the space to house additional manufacturing and warehouse operations,” said Todd King, president, Precision Tower Products. “The Columbus Region offers access to a competitive labor pool and options for us to build and customize a new facility.”
The new, 50,000-square-foot facility, which will house both corporate and manufacturing operations, will be located on Pittsburgh Drive in the city of Delaware. The building is expected to be complete in fall of 2015.
Hiring for the 35 new jobs will begin in February 2015. Openings will include back-office, field tech, engineering and laborer positions.
“It’s encouraging for a specialized company like Precision Tower Products to set its focus on the Columbus Region and understand the area’s benefits like workforce access and low cost of doing business,” said Sean Hughes, economic development director, City of Delaware. “We are excited that the company is bringing new jobs and putting down long-term roots in Delaware.”
