Columbus 2020 Hires Director of Customized Workforce Recruitment and Training

Columbus, OH— Columbus 2020 has hired Tim Harman as director, customized workforce recruitment and training. In this role, Harman will support workforce development for Columbus 2020 clients in partnership with JobsOhio.

“We are thrilled to have Tim join the Columbus 2020 team,” said Kenny McDonald, president and CEO. “Tim’s deep experience implementing talent acquisition, college recruiting and diversity and inclusion strategies will greatly support Columbus 2020’s talent acquisition and delivery strategy for new or expanding businesses in the Region.”

Previously, Harman was the director of talent acquisition, diversity outreach, college recruiting and disability accommodations for MGM Resorts International, a global leader in entertainment and gaming headquartered in Las Vegas. With more than 15 years of experience, Harman has been recognized for his exemplary results with a number of awards, including the Outstanding Contributor Award for Diversity and Inclusion from The Ohio State University Fisher School of Business. In addition, Harman was previously a career advisor with the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University.

Harman was also a key leader in the creation of the community-based organization and nonprofit, Central Ohio Diversity Consortium, and was a founding member of Dublin NextGen Young Professionals. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo.
