The City of Hilliard has once again earned international recognition, being named one of the Intelligent Community Forum’s (ICF) Top7 Intelligent Communities for the fourth consecutive year.

The announcement was made June 17 at the 2026 Top7 Conference in Brightlands-Limburg, Netherlands.

The Top7 communities are selected from ICF’s Smart21 list and recognized for excellence in broadband connectivity, workforce development, innovation, digital inclusion, advocacy and sustainability.

“This recognition reflects the collaboration and commitment of our residents, businesses, schools, community partners and City staff,” said Economic Development Director David Meadows. “Being named a Top7 Intelligent Community for the fourth consecutive year demonstrates Hilliard’s continued focus on innovation and creating opportunities for long-term success.”

The 2026 Top7 Intelligent Communities are:

– Assaí, Paraná, Brazil

– Brightlands-Limburg, The Netherlands

– Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Turkey

– Hilliard, Ohio, USA

– Kingston, Ontario, Canada

– Las Rozas de Madrid, Spain

– Yunlin County, Taiwan

Hilliard will now advance to the final stage of the awards program, with the Intelligent Community of the Year to be announced this October at the ICF Global Summit in Columbus.
