Columbus, OH – The Columbus Partnership Executive Committee today announced that Corrine Burger has been appointed chief executive officer of the Columbus Partnership, effective immediately. Burger has served as interim CEO since June and was appointed to the permanent role by the Executive Committee.
“Since stepping into the role of interim CEO, Corrine has led the Partnership with the steadiness, energy and vision this community deserves. She is the right leader for this organization and this moment,” said Kirt Walker, Columbus Partnership co-chair and CEO of Nationwide. “With Corrine at the helm, the Partnership will continue its work to build economic prosperity across the Columbus Region.”
Since taking the interim role, Burger has deepened the Partnership’s engagement with its members and regional partners while keeping its programs of work moving forward. Those include One Columbus, one of the nation’s top economic development teams serving the 11-county Columbus Region, and Smart Columbus, a civic innovation lab that applies technology to advance community good.
“It is a privilege to lead an organization that means so much to Columbus, alongside members and a team who are deeply committed to our region’s future,” said Burger. “The Columbus Region’s greatest strength has always been how we work together, and I’m honored to carry that work forward. Burger brings decades of executive leadership and deep ties to the Columbus community. Over a 34-year career at JPMorganChase and predecessor Bank One, she built a reputation as one of Columbus’ most respected and connected business leaders, serving as a managing director and site lead in Columbus while holding global responsibility as chief control officer before retiring in 2025. She was also a member of the Columbus Partnership and served on the One Columbus Board of Directors.

She has earned the confidence of our members, our team and leaders across the Region,” said Steve Steinour, Columbus Partnership co-chair and chairman and chief executive officer of Huntington Bancshares Incorporated. “And she leads an award-winning team known as the best in the country at what they do. Together they will keep delivering for our communities.”
Burger currently sits on the boards of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus State Community College and Nationwide.
