YWCA Columbus

Leading with dignity to defy a status quo that puts women, people of color, and the underprivileged on uneven footing

Columbus is where we want to be. It’s a city with energy. A city with pride. A city with opportunities. We should know – we’ve been here since 1886! Back then, we set out to eliminate racism and empower women. In fact, we were the first to desegregate our swimming pool. And now? We’re still denying the status quo that puts women, people of color, and the underprivileged on uneven footing. Through fundraising, programming, and a bold advocacy agenda, we’re working to create a Columbus of peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for ALL. This is a city full of people who want to stand with us in our work, and for that, we’re proud to call it home. Together, we initiate systematic social change and promote inclusion by speaking up, acting boldly and leading the charge.
