ONE OF US: SUCCESS STORY
Battelle
Applying science and technology to solve the world's toughest challenges.

It really is a remarkable story. More than 85 years ago, a businessman was concerned that the technology breakthroughs in laboratories across the country failed when deployed for government and industrial use. It’s why Gordon Battelle founded the research institute which today bears his name.
Every day more than 2,000 Battelle employees work in Central Ohio to protect our country, our armed forces, the nation’s energy supply and our environment. We call them “Solvers” and they also improve the health of our nation by delivering technology that is used in hospitals to treat the sick, and by working in the field to help prevent the spread of infectious disease like the Ebola and Zika viruses.
Battelle is proud to call Columbus home. We are inspired by the great companies and universities located here and the spirit of partnership that exists in our community.
Our employees are proud to take on the world’s toughest challenges because they know at Battelle, it can be done. To learn more about our breakthroughs and career opportunities, visit battelle.org.
