Matt Koppitch is an adept political advocate with extensive experience in a broad range of government law matters. His policy affairs efforts have spanned all levels and branches of government and demonstrate his ability to effectively work across the aisle. He has counseled and advised clients, candidates and ballot campaigns, in both a formal and informal capacity, on outreach, policy development, communications and political strategy.
Matt’s background includes negotiating legislation and administrative rules, legislative and regulatory drafting, and providing legislative analysis and tracking. He also has in-depth participation in campaign work, including gubernatorial and congressional campaigns and notably the Healthy Ohioans Work ballot initiative to expand Medicaid, in which he served a vital role in expanding Medicaid in Ohio. In addition, Matt has considerable experience with the Affordable Care Act and its implementation.
Matt previously served as District Director for United States Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, advising on matters of policy including financial services, banking, insurance, labor and employment, healthcare, and more. Matt’s past experience also includes the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) 1199; the Ohio Department of Commerce; the Ohio Lottery Commission and the Ohio Governor’s Office.
