Colleen Gilger has nearly 20 years of experience in leading a broad range of community development initiatives. She currently serves as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Dublin, Ohio.
She leads Dublin’s job retention, attraction and creation strategies, and oversees the city’s team of economic development administrators. Her group is responsible for relationship management with more than 3,000 existing businesses.
Colleen has negotiated more than 100 incentive packages with businesses, resulting in the attraction, retention and expansion of more than 19,000 jobs in Dublin. She works closely with internal and external development partners to coordinate and facilitate development projects throughout the City.
Colleen is currently overseeing the 100-gigabit deployment of Dublink, the City’s state-of-the-art broadband fiber-optic network, into Dublin’s multi-tenant office parks.
She helped establish, and now oversees, the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center (The DEC), which houses over 120 start-up companies and an 8,000-square-foot data center, and has won international entrepreneurship and innovation awards.
She has served the City of Dublin for two decades, in various roles including community relations administrator, public affairs officer, and economic development manager.
Colleen volunteers on several regional and local boards, including the Mid-Ohio Development Exchange (MODE) and Dublin City Schools Business Advisory Council.
She holds the International Economic Development Council’s professional designation of Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), and earned a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University.
