Attendees at an open house at Thirty One West on Wednesday got involved by visiting different stations throughout the building. They answered their favorite thing about Newark, and provided suggestions for the city, which included walkable neighborhoods, planting trees along major corridors, and more locally-owned restaurants.
The gift-basket maker plans to hire 100 full-time call center employees at its facility in the village of Hebron. Six years ago the company reopened the call center with the hiring of 1,000 seasonal workers after it had outsourced the work and was disappointed in the results.
