Engineered Profiles, LLC Investing $3.7 Million, Adding Jobs on Columbus’ South Side

Formerly known as Crane Plastics, Engineered Profiles, LLC, which provides plastic extrusion solutions to a variety of customer industries, will invest more than $3.7 million to purchase and upgrade machinery and equipment over the next 3 years. The investment will also include workforce training and improvements to its current facility at 2141 Fairwood Avenue. The company will add 18 new jobs to its 179-employee workforce.

European Payment Company Klarna Chooses Columbus Region to Launch U.S. Expansion

Klarna, the largest payments company in Europe, today announced it has chosen the Columbus Region as launch pad for its U.S. expansion. Klarna has committed to bring at least 82 new jobs to the Region.

KTH Parts Industries Investing $6.7 Million in Columbus Region, Tripling Workforce

In an effort to attract a well-trained and capable workforce, KTH Parts Industries, Inc.—a Tier 1 automotive supplier for underbody structural parts—today announced it is investing more than $6.7 million in the Columbus Region to build a new, state-of-the-art research and development facility in Jerome Township in Union County. Columbus Region’s Unemployment Rate Continues to Decline in Q3

Unemployment rates in the Columbus Region continued to decline in the third quarter, falling to 4.4 percent—well below September state and national rates of 5.6 and 5.9, respectively, according to the Q3 economic update report produced by Columbus 2020. The report also looked at demographic numbers for the Region, reporting a 3.2 growth in population from April 1, 2010 to July 1, 2013, compared to U.S. growth of 2.4 percent and Ohio growth of 0.3 percent during the same period.

Lubrication Specialties, Inc. to Invest More Than $1.9 Million, Add 20 Jobs in Columbus Region

Sage Sustainable Electronics Announces $2.5 Million Investment for its Columbus Headquarters and Production Facility; Creation of 50 Jobs

Stanley Electric Investing More Than $82 Million, Building Second Facility in Columbus Region

Stanley Electric US Co., Inc., which designs and manufactures lighting systems, climate control units and displays for the automotive and motorcycle industry, announced today that it plans to build a new, state-of-the-art lighting production facility in London, Ohio, near the company’s existing location at 420 E. High St. in London. The company currently employs more than 970 people in the Columbus Region and anticipates adding 150 new jobs at the new facility.
